Keramik is dense and earthen. Inspired by the West German, post-war, studio pottery movement, each painting borrows from the forms and surfaces of hand-thrown ceramics. Layered, scraped, burnished and broken back. Faded ochres, muddy greys, volcanic textures. Pottery reimagined as painting, grounded, irregular and quietly full of character.
