Narvik is a contemporary abstract painting by Perth artist Kate Dolan, deep forest greens and burnt ochres layered beneath a web of geometric mark-making. Pastel-fine lines map out triangles and diamonds across the surface, precise yet hand-drawn, the geometry emerging from and dissolving back into the paint beneath. A painting where structure and instinct pull against each other. Part of the Keramik series, created in the Perth studio.
