The colours of pink and green featured in most of the places I visited whilst travelling Central America but in El Salvador these colours particularly stood out.  This piece was inspired by a woman dressed in pink and green carrying pink and green baskets.  The women in this part of the world radiate energy, fire and passion, they are a force to be reckoned with, so incredibly strong and resilient.  I wanted to make a painting for them.
